Hi folk thanks for having me , I'm hoping the members will have knowledge that I am sadly lacking , my dad passed away last week and my mother in 2017 and my sister and I have to deal with the aftershocks , mother amassed quite a quantity of Wedgewood Santa Clara and Evesham and we have no idea what its worth or where to sell it ? It may sound a bit mercenary but we are in our 50/60s so have no need for it but it's obviously to good for the skip ! Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hello Keith. A warm welcome and condolences at this difficult time.

Many here have an idea what you're having to deal with. A lot of us are from your (our!) generation and quite a few are a good deal older. So as well as the forum experts with their specialist knowledge in particular fields you'll find people who have experience of sorting through their parents' estates -- and others who remember everything from when it was new! ;)

Any Jewelry has already given you a couple of good tips. I'll just add:

    (1) If you have the space, consider leaving smaller items to deal with later.

    (2) Don't assume that the things your parents thought were valuable are in fact worth much -- and vice versa. They probably had some things which are now worth considerably less than they once cost, but possibly also some sought-after items that you wouldn't glance at twice.

Look forward to seeing what you post once you're ready.
