antique Georgian decanter

    Hi. I am no expert, but when I was researching a similar modern piece, I used the search term "decanter with pinched glass." This may amuse you, while you wait for someone who knows something.

    The style is late Victorian/Edwardian c1890-1910, but be aware such pieces have been remade so without handling it's hard to say if original.

    Thanks for the suggestion, the glass is very thin i'm surprised it hasn't broken yet, there's a number scratched in the base, so I'm thinking modern era

    It isn't Georgian, that glass is the wrong hue.

    As to numbers, those were used to match stopper and base, so you can't judge age from them.
