Apologies for poor photo. There was too much glare when taking it. Also, I unfortunately do not have a photo of the back of the frame.

 

In what medium is it? And what, if anything, do you know about it? Fyi, it's always helpful to have a photograph of the work with the frame. That is because, if original, the frame can help with dating which, in turn, can help identify the artist.

I'm sorry, Debora. I don't have a lot of information on the painting. The frame is modern. Definitely not original. With regards to the actual paint itself, I have no idea. I took the photo only today at my friend's house. I should have gleamed more info.

I will get more info for you. It looks dutch to me. Of course I'm no expert, though.

 

Looks like a gouache, or possibly watercolour with gouache details (the white and cream and the smears on the roof).

The subject is Dutch, the painter could be too, although the Netherlands has attracted many foreign painters over the last few centuries.

The signature almost looks like it says L. Kunstenaar, which simply means L. Artist in Dutch.
