ID help on beaded Japan earrings

Another thrift store fine. Large clip on earrings, gold tone, clusters of beads, some are glass, marked "Japan" on the ear clasps. Each measures 1 1/2" across.

 

1960s clip-ons, mass produced and originally may have been sold with a matching necklace. Japanese is all the identification they ever had; the factories were all anonymous.

Just want to add on that if you can save up several pairs of these, a group lot often attracts more bidders than a single pair.

I know some more creative buyers use them in making jewelry wedding bouquets, something like this....



I know that particular craft has been around for a while, so I don't know if it's waning, but I still seem to have pretty good luck still with lots. You might not get as much per piece as you would by selling each pair separately, but they are an almost guaranteed seller with a 7 day auction if you want to move merchandise quickly.
