Crazy lamp

Seeing large statue of a little boy eating a stroopwaffel(sp) with one hand and fondling himself with the other is... disturbing. Seeing it made of chocolate is doubly so.

 

Sorry....but after all seen and written here......& you think the boy is touching himself in an inappropriate manner...........REALLY ?

& lots of boys are taught to hold their manhood when they tinkle ......

 

It is not a stroopwafel, which is originally Dutch, but a Belgian 'wafel'.
And I agree, the boy is doing something perfectly innocent. I do blame the parents though.

it is also a sign of virility. in Spain the boys had a sports where they let it hang out, walked along the street and looked who could pee for the longest distance.

 

Now I want a real waffle. The secret to the delicious bread, pastry and waffles in Europe is their flour is different. It just isn't the same here.

 

The water too; the mineral content can make a huge difference in the way bread/pastries rise.

Came across this thread looking for something else. The peeing boy meme in art is mostly based on the Manneken Pis, a bronze statue famous in Brussels Belgium from the 1600’s. This one looks very much influenced by the famous statue.

I think you've missed most of the thread, it was already established it was the famous Manneken Pis, and there are several photos of the statue/fountain posted in this thread.
