my thoughts on this is possibly turn of the century, Chinese import. I have not tested the metal yet. I thought the stone might be jade but there is a blue flash so now I am not sure it isn’t moonstone or the like. It kinda glows under the uv light What say ye?

sorry I’m so full of questions tonight. Had been in a slump with working on my stuff and just told myself to strap my boots on and just dive in, head first.
I always try to solve things on my own first but this one I am not sure about. I was reading the difference between jades and that it’s hard to determine so was hoping someone’s eagle eye here could help!

thank you so much for any help

My guess would be moonstone as well.

Given the pin and mark it's probably going to be 1930's at the earliest and possibly post war.

It could be moonstone, but that would be a very big piece if it's a base metal mount. It could be a glass simulant, the Chinese made some wonderful glass pieces.

The second pic looks like scuffed up MOP to me. Was the UV light on somewhere in the vicinity when the first pic was taken?

Definitely not MOP I know it gives the impression being scuffed but it isn’t. @Hollyblue whole pin is 1 3/4” x 1 1/2”
And the uv light was nowhere near it or on at the time of the pic with the blue. It turns weird colors under the uv. The middle almost looks green a bit.

I am seeing the iridescence of pearl in the second photo.

It’s so translucent that I do not believe it is MOP
