    I bought this on the weekend from a car boot in the uk as it was interesting and I normally pretty good at identifying items but this ones got me stumped !.I've spent many hours on internet with no luck, any ideas ??? the cubes are 4 sided , two sides are marked No 1 , one side No 2 and one side X , all the cubes are marked exactly the same

    Good job posting! I guess these are wooden? Are they on a rod or more of a string ?
    Also, are they affixed?

    Please post a very close up picture of the cubes. Someone here can probably tell if they are bone or something else.

    you can roll it from your hand onto a flat surface and get a different combination of numbers and x's each time , so it makes me wonder if its some sort of gambling device ??? :bored::bored:

    Maybe a lot closer than that, just try to get close on one to see the grain or lines.

    You spin it, see where the x's settle and use them to mark the score draws if I remember rightly.

    Are we talking the "football" played with your feet?

    Because if we are, that will make me feel less stupid. :hilarious:

    1 = home team wins, X = draw, 2 = guest team wins
    red ones for additional games

    its a good solution as there are 12 plus red ones , but theirs 2 x 1's on each cube which would weight the results in favour of a home team win ?

    just had a thought , are there 2 x 1's on each cube because home wins are more probable , makes sense ?

    Spot on fid. Home, away and score draw. Yes, the odds were always in favour of home wins.
