    This is marked fostoria and does not open. Finial on top. What is it for? I’ve tried everything and I cannot find it. Approx 7” tall or so so it isn’t a ginormous paperweight. Lol

    Aha!! I knew the lid had to come off. I’ll try the hot water.

    Fostoria reissued their Frisco pattern several times over the years. This was called a candy jar. If it's glued together with super glue it may take acetone to release.

    If you have to use acetone do it outside and NO heat - it's highly flammable
