Help W/ Possible ID, :) Opinions? Cabinet Card

    Pat, I had to zoom to 400% to see it for sure, but her thumb and forefinger are definitely holding top and bottom of a pale roundish fruit. She's not leaning on the branch.

    My GG Grandma is wearing thaat type of button up top and I believe her pic was taken in the mid 1800's ?

    It's the size and shape of an apricot or a similar small, oval fruit. Those look like motoring gloves to me, but ladies that went motoring usually wore gigantic hats with veils. This looks more like a man's hat. Maybe she borrowed her companion's hat for the photo. She does have an impish smile. I have photos from this era of my ancestors out picnicking in the fields. It was quite common.

    I'm certain that her dress is 1880s. I think late in the decade. Could be 1890, but not really later.
