Pretty box. It looks like Makkums, from Makkum, Friesland, northern Netherlands.
I am trying to find the mark. T for Tichelaar maybe? Not their usual mark.

Thank you Any Jewelry, yes, that is what I thought too, the closest mark of Tichelaar is around 1900, but I am not sure if it is mine...

I see, yes it looks like the same T to me.
The Tichelaar site has no info.

Edit: I looked at the mark on the right hand side.:banghead: That looks more like your T. This one:

Here are some of their marks from the book Discovering Dutch Delftware. I have quite a few pieces of older Makkum and I'm actually thinking your piece could be French.

It could be an early piece, 1890s. It seems the Tichelaar mark in a shield shaped cartouche was implemented in 1895.

This site has an English language button, but that doesn't work for this page. At the bottom it mentions the date of the implementation (in Dutch):

This could be one of those Western European origin mysteries.

There seems to be an impressed circle to the left of mark, unless that’s just nuttin’ Other than that.

Another possibility I had thought of was Rouen or a Rouen imitation. Did you have that in mind, too, say_it_slowly?

Thank you @say_it_slowly , great link! I found the exact shape of my bonbonniere and almost identical decorations there, made by Fourmaintreaux Frères in Desvres, so likely it is that what it is...
