New to the Industry

Howdy Folks! My name is Larry. I own a store at a local shopping mall in deep South Texas. I usually have a lot of imported furnishings and hand painted Mexican Folk art. Once in a while I will obtain apiece I know little about but find it beautiful enough to showcase in my store. This is where I come to you for help! I'd like to be well versed when customers ask about the pieces I carry. Some are Mexican Colonial, which I know very little about and find that the research is leading me nowhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Komokwa! You're the reason I am actually there! I was googling Butaque chairs and it led me to this thread you posted a few years back. I'm trying to find info on the Butaque chairs I have.

This is what I currently have. I've seen a few go between $8,000- $12,000 but I have an entire set. The chairs, love seat and the 3 seaters.

 

It is best to post items in the appropriate forums, that way you get more eyes on them.

The same thing as the rest of us! If it's cheap enough and it looks cool and I can spend a few hours figuring it out ... that's cheaper than a movie and you have something when you're done worth more than a ticket stub.
