I found this at a 'pop up' yard sale yesterday. It is in desperate need of cleaning, but I wanted to check here first to make sure it is by who I think it is by before I get too worked up! Is this a Adelio Sarro painting? If so, any idea of value in this condition (look at bottom of arm near edge of canvas where 2 small paint chips have fell off? As always I appreciate your help
Doesn't appear to have the complexity of his work but there's only one way to find out for sure. Ask the artist. http://www.sarro.net/english/artist.html Debora
IT IS A SARRO! Reply from sarro.net: Hello Charles First of all we appreciate the contact. Yes, this painting is by Adelio Sarro. Very nice to have found a painting from 1984. Is the painting in Miami? If you want to buy more works or information about Sarro, I am at your disposal. Vinicius Sarro
You might want to ask the artist's representative if it can be restored at the studio. That would be helpful information if you decide to sell on and condition an issue. Debora
Anyone have an idea of his paintings values? (I understand the condition) I can't check because almost all of the auction websites want to sell me a membership to see past prices I'd appreciate a general idea if that's allowed here.
Various art sites give different bits of info for free. One of the few that shows prices - once you know who the artist is (it DOES cost to see pictures and signatures) - is FindArtInfo.com Not many examples for this particular artist, though: http://www.findartinfo.com/english/list-prices-by-artist/461265/adelio-sarro.html
Beautiful piece. Mine may not have as much depth - but it does have being an early work as he is coming into his own! Thanks lovethehunt! As always, thanks Debora!
