This doesn't have the look of production furniture. Have you checked it thoroughly for any maker's or retailer's mark?

James. Thank you for the kind words. You're giving me quite an education, which I will apply as I move toward replacing some "old" furniture with real antiques. This table was a major purchase at the time, but I fell in love with it and went back several times before I bought it. I have a few other things that I'm not sure about. The rest, I was able to research the provenance or they are probably mid century reproductions. Thanks again.

No. I just completed a major restoration of my living and dining room, which involved hand sanding miles of 100 year old fir trim, wall repair, etc. During the 18 months it took me to complete, this piece and my other major furniture lived in the garage. I was cleaning it up and decided to ask all of you about it. I'll look more thoroughly, but all I saw so far was a black ink stamp of a number 4 under the drawer. I appreciate your comments. You really know your furniture.

Agrees with MOS, it has the look of being custom made, one of a kind, like one would see furnishing the biltmore house in asheville n.c. for instance.

James. You take my breath away. I have seen the Biltmore Estate and it was fabulous. I'll look for a mark and get back to you all.

Mark search unremarkable, I'm afraid. No brands. Just a grease pen (?) No. 4 on the inside of the upper side molding and a stamped No. 11 on the bottom of the drawer. There was a mark that looked like an oval label was once there at the back of the upper side molding. Also what looks to me some stray scratch marks near the label. I took photos.
