odd ceramic piece (baluster? maybe) with equally odd mark, is it delft? thanks

    Not Delft per se as it isn't Dutch. It is from Belgium and has an old Boch mark.

    In the book "Discovering Dutch Delftware" Van Hook describes your mark as being "around the turn of the century" (1900). He says they stopped making handpainted tin-glazed Delftware by 1920.

    they also seem to be called "bottle neck vase" but I do not see any made by Bosch of that time period. Do people still have interest in that name because it became part of Villeroi and Boch?

    Maybe you used the wrong spelling to search?

    It's Boch not Bosch. Bet you found some good deals on kitchen appliances? ;)
