The crown does screw down, so that is a good sign! I already looked for a number, but it didnt have one. I researched it a lot and I read that a lot of the older ones, especially oyster perpetual, have the engraving on the back side of the back plate. It can only be seen after you take the plate off.

I don't see swiss made ...and the glow dots on yours go right on to the roman numerals.... that looks sloppy....

What am I missing people? The bezel is discolored. If it’s gold, them it must be gold. Sorry OP but I agree that it’s not genuine for all the issues already mentioned, but with respect, one doesn’t need to take it to a Rolex dealer. Any neighborhood legit jeweler will be able to tell in a minute and I do think you should let a pro look at it but the spacing is wrong compared to mine and the proportions of the window look off-the bubble appears too large. I also don’t see Swiss made on the bottom but I could have missed it. We can all speculate but I know my local jeweler could make a call in a minute or less.

I’ve always been told to also check how easily the back pops. Many fakes pop super easily but that’s not something to go by alone. Here’s my stainless midsize from the 90s. I knew it was due for cleaning but after checking this pic I’ll get it in sooner rather than later lol. I know I need a new crystal so I’ve been stalling.

The difference between the bubbles on ours and the one in question is significant IMO but the big tell to me is all the pitting and discoloration as already pointed out. The watches are either stainless, gold or plat so that couldn’t happen to the finish.

BTW love the combo. That was my first one in the 70s but it was the small and by the 90s I pretty much stopped wearing gold so I traded it in for the midsize in stainless but probably should have gotten the two tone midsize.
