Heisey Pattern

    No help but I've never seen a Heisey piece like that - pretty nice.

    Try Heisey Twist they made iot in Marigold and Sahara.

    Actually, I did search for Twist but did not find that shape.

    Heisey Twist, the 8" low footed bowl. Color is marigold.

    Hi,
    Why does photo Number 2 look like vaseline???? I am concerned That I only see vaseline anymore.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

    I did noticed that. Must be the light when I took the photo.

    George and Ola got it, this is Heisey's No. 1252, Twist. (the number's out of sequence, the pattern was developed from a bowl, one of a series) the color is Marigold, Gold was made without uranium, turns red under black light. Marigold is made with uranium, as was/is Canary/vaseline.

    Gold is how I understood the experimental color and did not sell massively?
    Gold glows red under black light, I do not know how much the composition differs from Marigold, but I assume that it contains cadmium sulphide
    Marigold contains uranium and therefore glows green under black light
    On your photo of Marigold
    You can see the green fluorescence on the bright Sun

    In Almost 50 years of studying Heisey, I've had one piece of gold, seen no more than one other. It is truly rare.
