Just wondering if anyone has any information on this item my father found in his attic?
You put the tiny cigarettes in the guys mouth, light it and he starts blowing smoke rings.
Interesting and pretty cool little toy.
    Thank You

I have an Andy Capp figurine that does the same thing, but it's out of cigarettes (wish I knew where to get more). I think whatever is in the cigarettes keeps almost extinguishing itself. It builds up a bit of smoke that starves it of oxygen, but the smoke releases before the stick goes out entirely and the process restarts. It's been a long time, but as I recall the smoke has a strangely sweet smell.

1950s probably, or early 60s. They were probably related to the smoke pellets they made for toy trains. The trains would chug around the tracks and the pellets would cause the engine to blow puffs of "smoke" out of the chimney. Same era.

I never thought of the trains. That's interesting. My father has an O gauge train set and I think that that also had the smoke pellets.
    Thanks all!

That sounds right. I was thinking O gauge. The pellets came along after they stopped making Standard. American Flyer?

most were made in the GDR with the Mecky figure. this here could be rarer. the figure on the paper reminds me of Bruno from the HB brand.

    Hi,
I still have a bottle of smoke pellets from my standard size Lionel train from the 1950s.

Probably pretty saleable. I wonder if those pellets, or the cigarettes, are still made.

My older brother had the smoke pellets for this Lionel trains. My younger brother got to the bottle and took one out and may have swallowed one. He was fine, but we all almost lost our minds with panic and fear.

My Dad had a sailor figure that puffed smoke rings with those little cigarettes. No idea what happened to it, but thanks for the memory!
