Featured Interesting bronze Plaque

    I have recently purchased this bronze plaque,19inches in diameter .
    Felt members may enjoy seeing it.

    Very nice, sometimes these renaissance revival dishes have a matching ewer, it would sit in the well in the center.

    Any maker's mark? Idle guess would be Austro-Hungarian. Very nice indeed.

    Hi More otherstuff
    After Elkington, England ,originals by Leonard Morel-Ladeuil (Sculptor 1820-1888) worked for Elkington Silver platers,for 23 years.

    Struggled with posting here for the better part of the day, the OP did not ask for opinions, did not acknowledge Ce BCA's mention of the purpose of this piece, and has clearly formed her own firm identification - and frankly, because I did not wish to be angrily berated again.

    Didn't take much time to find the linked information, proper terms and an interest in mythology were helpful - it's a very nice piece, will just post these links, not return to the thread, and ask the OP to leave me be, whether she finds the information useful or not...
