One more as I sit here on a dreary, rainy, humid South Jersey morning.... I had been pining over this moonglow piece in an antique mall, it did go on sale 25% off...I have never seen a fruit moonglow piece.

It's our 19th anniversary tomorrow, so Hubby is taking me to an outdoor antique show I love....and out to dinner at a not-fancy, on the water seafood restaurant. I usually find a treasure or two there.... here's keeping my fingers crossed.

    Happy anniversary!

    He's now a kept man!

I went out this morning, to a church sale that was cancelled due to weather. Hit a yard sale that killed my knees for no reward (steep driveway) and then an antique store. Scored there. Small baggie of silver and a little costume. $5. I never argue with a five dollar price tag. There was a nice sterling chain too, but the price quoted was about break-even if I sold it and a loser if scrapped. Nahhh.

Thank you all! I went to a community yard sale late today but found a treasure. The real treasure is my 25 cents baton story, more later. Good for you finding that silver, evelyb. I always hunt in antique malls and shows, I get better buys there than thrift shops and estate sales anymore. And I have a goofball estate sale story from today.

William Booth Salvation Army Blood & Fire Pitcher bought at auction today. Moulded earthenware jug made 1882-4 by Wright & Rigby Hanley with Salvation Army Crest and moulded portrait of William Booth to each side. Worth going to auction for this alone.

There is a rim chip by the handle but otherwise pretty good. Strange, but I cannot find another example. Still, the makers were only in business for two years!

Not so much of a Find, since I Found it in my own house, just never looked it up. Evelyn H. Lucas watercolor. She has had exhibitions. Not terribly valuable, but I figured I’d share with my East Coast friends.
