    Hello All
Update. Japanese Satsuma in the Iznik ( Persian ) style late 19c as referred to by Ce BCA. Probably by one of the Kozan artists ( see Gothborg Marks ) IMO. Still looking for a good comparable. Regardless very nice piece. The French reference is interesting.
    Thank You

    Hello Again
OOOOP's! My sincerest apologies. If you haven't noticed my grammar is no up to snuf and at mite not get much better at mi age ha ha. Please feel free to correct and make fun of my spelling/grammer, you won't offend me. If I can someone laugh even inadvertently it's a good day. My objective here is to pass on 40 years of knowledge buying and selling a wide range of antiques. I guess I'm a little slow at this posting thing. I see a number of alerts. Hope this post is still relevant.
    Thank You

I think given the clay type it probably isn't Satsuma, it looks more like that used on Japanese celadon ware, so Arita region instead. This also fits with the underglaze blue signature which again isn't typically Satsuma, but quite common on Arita ware.

Regarding the Kozan mark, they have a ? on the site for it, and I don't think it really fits the op's mark as I can't see any way the second character can read 'zan' here. It may be worth looking through more Arita marks though and the first character may well be Ko, Kou or Ka
