This appears older than dirt, but it's probably less than 100 years old. It's brass pieces crimped to a leather strap with one of those push pin clasps. I usually associate those with Turkey and other parts of the Middle East, but... dunno. It's about 1 1/8 x 6 3/8 inches or 2.7x 16cm. Generally the short length would mean it's really old if the piece were European or American, but it probably isn't.

The construction is like Ottoman belts, and the pin closure could point in that direction as well, though not necessarily. I've even seen that closure on Italian bracelets.
My guess is rural Ottoman Europe, possibly remote parts of Bulgaria.
During the Ottoman rule there was a huge difference between the towns and surrounding areas, where stunning silver and gold filigree etc were made, and some rural areas, where very basic jewellery was made.
This could even have been a belt, broken, and shortened into a wristband. The closure looks like it was added later.
So I would say a 19th century belt, made into a bracelet in the first half of the 20th century.
I guess I've got very old wrists, it is a perfect size for me.:hilarious:

You're meant for jewelry from the 1920s and 1930s. I'm betting you're right about this being a cut-down belt.

It's certainly similar. No wonder I could never find anything like it; there may not be another one out there.

Yes, it is the same concept. That one is Turkish.
