I picked this up today at a local thrift. Measures 5 1/4 tall and 4 inches wide. It has what appears to be cherubs wrapped all around it. They might not be cherubs but look similar. On the bottom it has a cone shaped hole but doesn't go all the way through but it's small. I was wondering if someone could help me ID this. Also what it was used for? Thank you for any info!

They appear to be putti caryatids. Here's a 17th century one carved in wood.

And it's a difficult object to photograph.

It's in the style of Ingrid, but I think the bottoms of Ingrid pieces were polished.

Ingrid pieces are flat polished bases. It also looks moulded rather than mould blown. I'd be looking at a French maker.

Funny there are Desna malachite like these. Is Desna the same as Ingrid?

Desna is Czech, Ingrid is German. You've a point there - the shape of this does remind me of some Barolac, which is also Czech. Not seeing Desna quality in this one, though.
