Is this truly pink Spinel?

    No one can tell by looking at a photo,it would need to be tested. Is it natural or man made?

    ^^ This is the best advice, if you don't trust the seller then don't buy.

    If the seller is out of India or China, be aware there are many of them selling fakes (glass) as gemstones as well as synthetic stones marketed as natural. They will also sometimes come with 'certificates' which aren't worth the paper they are printed on. I see these types of stones go through auctions in the UK all the time, mostly they fetch very little as the dealers avoid them like the plague.

    And stay away from single gemstones. If you don't know anything about them, don't buy. If you can't inspect them yourself, with the right knowledge, don't buy.
    Spinels are beautiful, but how do you know you won't be getting a pretty piece of glass?

    I don't think glass.......but low quality at best.......or misidentified..
    I'd be embarassed to put them in front of a gemologist..
