Hard to find Jug

Hi All,

first time poster here. I have this jug and I am finding it hard to research the maker, it is very difficult to find more information about it.

The maker is Copestake Brother, Anchor Works, Longton. They were in production from 1861 to 1870. This is all I know so far.
Would anyone know more?

It says Garibaldi The Italian Patriotic Jug, to save others' eyestrain. You can read about the history of Anchor Works at thepotteries.org, and there are more jugs out there, but that's all I found.

 

There doesn't seem to be a lot of information about the Copestake Brothers, aside their family was active in the potteries over multiple generations. The Anchor Works changed hands relatively often.

The jug itself is relief moulded, probably in parian china or stoneware. The lilac glaze is mimicking earlier work by Samuel Alcock. What were you hoping to find out?
