IMG_3371.JPG IMG_3373.JPG I would like to know more about this ribbon plate. I got it today from a store where they had another one from the same series with a reproduction of Currier & Ives's Hunting for Deer scene. i don't really like hunting scenes so I didn't get the second plate. Would like to know where this particular one could be produced and its age.

April, I know that some of them were made in Germany. I have one with a blurry MADE IN GERMANY stamp on the back. I don't know exact date, but mine was 1910's-1940 or so, if I remember correctly.

FYI, google images shows the same decal used on Wood & Sons Ascot Village.

Thanks! This one doesn't have stamps but I can imagine it could be made in Germany because it seems they were really popular there.

Thanks, googled it. It is quite intriguing that one plate from the same series is with an American design, and another is with a British print. What could that mean?

I think those decals must have been available to any company who wanted them.

It looks like. Also, the material is not porcelain I think. It rather has a stoneware feel to it.
