You might look online for catalogs.

I'd give it a good tap and make sure wood dust does not fall out of it.
It might be held together with woodworm holding hands.

These holes appear to be covered in polish.

Are the six drawer pulls ornamental or functional? If functional, I would like photos of drawers interior because they may offer additional clues. There appears to be a shelf in the lower portion of the cabinet, photos of that as well.

IMG_7151.jpg IMG_7152.jpg IMG_7153.jpg The drawers are fully functional and go extremely deep. Also, some stamping on the panels of the drawers.

Hi. Please see end of thread. I just uploaded some photos of the drawers. They’re functional.

Thanks for the photos. Could you empty the cabinet and take interior photos?

It is amazing how animals are curious about everything. :)

I have a theory about this cabinet, but I will wait for the rest of the photos.

The company doesn't appear to have manufactured furniture and, although their product list includes "cabinetry," it was for "frame building construction." Like this milk box.

Sorry to bug you more, but what is the material at the back of the drawer opening? You should also check the other openings and drawers for more possible clues.
    I estimate the unit to be 72" x 36" x 22/24" deep.

It’s all just wood. The same material as the flooring. I’m not sure what kind it is. Maybe cedar? Has a pleasant odor.

Don't think this was built as we see it today. Looks to be a wardrobe that has been converted. Overall styling suggests c. 1890. There is a lot of wasted space between the drawers.... secret compartments?

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

When I saw those drawers, that was my first thought....”what cool places for ‘hides-holes’!!!!

And maybe an employee made a “one-off” for himself at the end of the day??

I mean the loose material at the back of the drawer opening.

Simply put... The design doesn't make visual sense.

Just part of an old rats nest that used to be there.
