I found this in a box of my in-laws things. I looked up some of the words and know that they are German words for different foods. Can anyone tell me anything about it? IMG_2536.JPG

    Welcome to Antiquers DFLaird!

I would call it a kitchen hand towel.

Unless it has a channel on the back for a wooden dowel to run through for hanging.

@Any Jewelry is on for German on the translator thread. Or maybe someone else may know.

Hello DFLaird. If the numbers following the words were page numbers in a particular cookbook, would expect all numbers in each category to be close to one another. It's sort of true for Meat, but lots of variation among others, so wondering if they're not calories.

Thank you...I have been on before but it was a while back. It does have red tabs at the top like it would be a flag. IMG_2538.JPG

I was thinking calories also and was trying to figure out how to find that information. I probably could search online.

Even if calories, isn't very useful without knowing portion size.

Joulezähler does translate to calorie counter...

Good idea, but then it's telling you the right temperature for cooking assorted types of fruit. Maybe Joules also means calories; after all 'calor' means heat.

I wouldn't call it a flag....just something that is meant to be hung in the kitchen.

Under the word Fleisch the first line is je100 g: I wonder if that is portion size?

Something like it. Je 100 g means 100 grams each. Most Germans eat far more than 100 grams of meat a day.
