Platinum Gold and Diamond Pin

Picked up this bar pin today. 2 7/8" long. It is marked 14k on the pin, and marked Plat 14k and a B in a diamond on the clasp section. I assume this means platinum and gold? I have a diamond tester which is testing positive on the stones. Does anyone know the mark?

 

I'd say it's platinum on the front, backed with 14k gold. The B could be Balfour but I can't see it in the pictures. They make mostly class rings now, but could have done something like this back when. I associate these filigree pieces with North Attleboro factories so it would fit. On the other hand, there were hundreds of jewelry factories in the Providence RI - Attleboro MA area at that time and it could have been any of them. Dunno as it matters.
