Interesting Vase with German Writing

For some odd reason "World's Fair" comes to my mind. Probably off by a long shot. Anyway, I can't find this piece of mine and hope someone recognizes it. It's about 12" tall and has no identifying marks on the base. Thanks.

I wonder if it wasn't brought back by someone that was serving in the US-Military Hospital in Münchweiler, if at all. although I believe in people walking and rambling on water I don't see them walking to NY...
I rather see a connection to the Rhönrad sport. there were two Worldchampionships in the US; 2013 in Chicago and 2016 in Cincinnati.

according the IRV in Berne it's postponed to probably mid-July 2021.
and it's not NY only but NJ as well.
