There is an incised numeral one on the bottom; otherwise no marks. I know next to nothing about the subject and would very much appreciate any help in identifying the maker, how it might have been made, etc. Thanks very much.

Looks like a RS Prussia pattern.
We do need to see the bottom, there is a distinctive ring for RS Prussia.

Schlegelmilch was the manufacturer. There is also, RS Tillowitz, RS Germany and a couple of others.

    Wait for better info.
In the mean time you have something to search on.

Thank you very much. I did look at RS Prussia and R. Schlegelmil RS Germany patterns on Replacements and didn't see this one. I am attaching a photo of the base - the incised 1 is at 6 o'clock.

Thank you for the added picture. I'm not an expert on RS Prussia. One of my customers said it is supposed to have a small ring on the bottom that a nickel should fit in. Otherwise it isn't RS Prussia.

Whether that is correct or not I do not know.

Hopefully one of the other ceramic people will come and educate both of us.

Keep checking back. People come and go at different hours.

You should have said you had a second thread going. And you were getting info.

    Welcome to the forum, curious1.
I agree, cluttered helps a lot of people, she could have spent the time and effort answering someone else's questions. I know you are new here, but please mention it if you have a duplicate thread. This is just confusing.

Thank you for letting me know. It was my first time here and the first I had ever started a thread anywhere. My apologies and gratitude to all who were kind enough to respond.

Yep---Unmarked RS Prussia. Not worth too much today. Before Ebay, that bowl would be selling around $100.00 Plus.
