    Hello
Today at a flea market I bought this sheet with the poem "Mary's Lamb". Can you give me any information about it?
    Thanks 1.jpg 11.jpg

It does appear to be printed and on a vellum-like paper. The postal code dates it to 1963 or later.

I think it's a lithograph. Place two images made with a USB microscope Snapshot_20210318.JPG Snapshot_20210318_1.JPG

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

I notice this long sentence in that Wikipedia article:
In the grounds of the church stands a one-room schoolhouse that was moved there from its original location in Sterling, Massachusetts by Ford, who believed the building was the actual schoolhouse mentioned in Sarah Josepha Hale's poem "Mary Had a Little Lamb", though little historical evidence exists to support his belief.

And in a blog post about the poem, is this:
The Redstone Schoolhouse is thought to be the schoolhouse that Mary Sawyer attended and where the famous event happened. Henry Ford, the automobile manufacturer, was responsible for salvaging the Redstone Schoolhouse in 1926. The Redstone Schoolhouse was originally located on Redstone Hill in Sterling, Massachusetts. The Redstone Schoolhouse was reconstructed and now located on the grounds of the Longfellow’s Wayside inn in Sudbury, Massachusetts.

I wonder why the poem is divided into two parts. One by John Roulstone and the other by Sarah Josepha Hale. I thought the poem was by Sarah Josepha Hale.

Ok, back to the poem sheet, someone had the poem printed, attributing it to both authors.

I've been to the Wayside Inn. Had a fabulous New England pot roast dinner there. Have pictures of the little chapel somewhere in my archives. Nice place to visit.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

And my DH taught in Sterling, MA for 35 years before retiring! There was always the little statue of the lamb on the town common there too....it got vandalized at least once, and was repaired or replaced.....still think it’s there today!!! Nice story as well!!!
