The foot rim has been cut, the center of the base is smooth. The white section of the glass has an unusual texture which is similar to crazing on pottery (I've tried to show that in the photos). Any thoughts as to age are maker are appreciated.

    Hi,
It is early and I need coffee but is the blue area blue glass or a stain on the glass?

I think it is blue glass, but I can see the same crazing beneath the blue. I'm not exactly sure how to tell one from the other.

The base appears to have been spherically ground, probably not American production. I'd suggest Europe.

If you have a piece of the Fenton crests like silver crest compare . The Fenton is a ribbon of glass and looks different than the main item.

The Fenton "silver crest" line is much more delicate, very different from this.
