unknown handwriting letter? help please

Hi Guys,

Please help with this one.

With my very limited English, I am not sure what this handwriting is about?

Is there any historical information there？Is writing on paper or particular material?

I'd like to know what approx value could be?

Looks more like French to me, with a fair amount of Latin mixed in. Could be written on vellum.

 

Looks like goat or calfskin vellum as MOS said, I can see pores.

 

Just Latin I'd say. A better photo without the glare on the writing making it impossible to read in places would help. Plus a higher resolution photo so we can zoom into the writing better and still have good quality to discern the writing strokes.

Though I can make out several words, better photos are required, in hopes of reading it.

 

Some sort of legal document anyway. In the 16th century they were written in Latin. They don't turn up in the USA; in these parts they're all in Legalese. Sometimes it's harder to read than Latin.(rolleyes)

I've had a bit of a look through and do find it hard to make out many of the words, I can see some words here and there like.
confessed
counting
thanks
etc...

but without proper context, it doesn't really help much.
