I bought a group of 6 cups and saucers, and trusted I would be able to find the dates by searching Google.

3 days in, and I only know they are presumably before 1940 (?) because they do not have the copyright 'c' ...

Have only found the 'Circle' logo, and have not found any reference to the number that is offset from the main logo.

Have ZILCH on the rectangle logo, and have only gotten myself confused by the letter 'code' that the potters mark uses (having different letters = different years).

Anybody out there feeling adventurous and kind that may be able to help me date these?

I can offer help with Comic Book, Boy Scout, Record and CD, or other knowledge, but this is out of my main wheelhouse.

Edme pattern began in 1908 and is still made today.

    #1 mark from 1940+ (March 1955)
#2 same as above - looks earlier than piece number 1
#3 From 1929 until the mark in piece 1 took over (Last 2 impressed numbers are probably the year)

Others all as per the three above.

I think these green marks weren't used much after 1970 from working knowledge, but don't see a reference to confirm.

The US marking shows these items were made for export to the US and the design was protected there as well as in the UK.

    THANK YOU !

Do you come by your knowledge from experience, or do you have reference guides? Not doubting, just wanting to know how to find this type of information.

I recently got a Chinese fish (Carp) with markings, and was able to decipher the meaning after a lot of Google Image searches, and then found some 'Occupied Japan' Figurines, and am finding most of those.

Wedgwood is my big defeat at the moment (until now) and I'd love to know if there are places I should reference, beyond the "Big Three" that I've seen posted on this board a few times.

What do you consider "the Big Three" AEIOU?

Both, in this case most of my reference works are too early and deal with 19th century. Godden has a decent(ish) page on Wedgwood which I got the 1929+ date from due to the font used. Dating system I remember from years ago, I used to sell quite a lot of antique Wedgwood. Green Barlaston marks were commonly no mid century creamware which used to be popular in the early 2000's.

I went to check some facts on the WW museum site, but most of the info now seems to have gone from there. It used to have a great deal of historical documents and original source material, shame if they have taken it off.

    Hi,
Because in PC work all capitals is like screaming at people.
Sorry about your arm but we have people here who only have one arm and they well without screaming.

Ah I see, you mean contact them for marks rather than they make the info available online.

    Yes.
Occasionally when I have a pattern with variations of the mark, I search for logos of that company and have been successful finding the range of dates with the logo changes.

As I searched Wedgwood here, there seemed to be 3 sites mentioned over and over ... and I looked them high and low, but never found the info I was looking for.

    I believe they are: https://antique-marks.com/wedgwood-marks.html

    https://collectingwedgwood.com/identification-and-dating

    and

    https://paulusporcelain.com/a-guide-to-collecting-wedgwood-edme/

which were the ones that kept coming up .. no matter if i tried watermark, mark, or potter mark.

... it's rude. No need for yelling. And you were SO rude to a very treasured member whom I think a lot of. Not a great start,is it?
