    Hi Marie, I was wondering if anyone would recognize anything in my bunch and maybe respond. I have so many things to look at, I'm not even sure what my questions would be yet! I will think harder and try to be specific if I post. :)

    Bev aka thelmasstuff Colored pencil artist extraordinaire ;)

    I'd show them in batches of five or six with clear photos of front & back.

    If the Wizard is marked JJ, it’s Jonette. Likely pewter.

    As others said, split up and photos of both sides.

    @MMarkussen - Hello & welcome to the forum!! :happy::happy:

    Get yourself a magnifying glass & if possible a jeweler's loupe. Both would be very helpful in finding signatures & marks on the backs.

    When you do post make sure you always post both the front & the back as suggested by @i need help. Even if a piece is not marked some of the folks can tell a lot by the construction of the piece.

    I find myself almost looking at the back/base of most things before the front!- jewellery, artwork, glass, ceramics etc. It can tell you so much :pompous::happy:

    In addition to this excellent advice, maybe take one tray at a time, separate out anything that has ANYTHING written on the back, numbers, maker's names, etc. and include that info in your follow up post --make clear which piece said what. And really check the entire back carefully. Sometimes maker's names can be tiny, partially worn off, etc.

    I wish I had your 18 trays. What fun! :singing: There seems to be some nice pins in there at first glance.

    Last thought, in general things photograph best on a plain white or tan background. Maybe put a coin in for scale.

    You could also photograph several for us, but put them on a plain white sheet with a number next to them, if that makes sense.
