I'm trying to find more information about this piece of pottery. I can't find anything about the marks. I appreciate any information you can share. Thank you!

    Hi, Kristel, and welcome!

With that other color peeking out,I wonder if along the line someone "improved" it with a coat of paint?

Sorry, Kristel, I thought you were saying I DB.

I was asking because there are a number of Italian pottery pieces out there showing LDB &C. I don't know that yours is related, however.

Stick that thing in a bucket of hot water and peel off that abominable brown paint. There's a bright pot underneath. Paging @Walter Del Pellegrino

Wow! It's a whole different piece! Thank you so much for the advice. I'm still curious as to when this may have been made. Any ideas?

    1960s I suspect. Much better.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

The cleaned version is lovely. Why would somebody have painted it, I wonder?

I get more of a 1930s vibe, maybe because the roses sorta look like Macintosh style?
