Help with Italian Pottery

    His may have been one of the metal ones. Southern Spanish design has a really strong North African influence, so that's probably what you're seeing.

    Agree and that’s why I reposted after realizing what I’m pretty sure I was seeing was Moorish influence. I’d go with Spain too. I know some of you think I’m way off but I stand by that piece could never be Italian. I initially saw what I considered “Arab” world influences but wasn’t thinking about N Africa which of course strongly influenced Spain. Sorry for my confusing posts.

    It's called a bácia de barbero. Looks typically Spanish; don't see any North African influence. Given that it's designed to be hung, suspect it's newer rather than older.

    I don’t see it in this one either but I still get that vibe on the OPs Debora. Doesn’t matter since bottom line is that it has now been identified as Spanish. Great to find out what it’s called. Love learning new things.
