Harvard china pitcher

I received this pretty china pitcher (6.5" tall) as a wedding present from my grandmother many years ago, who received it from her mother. I can see the Harvard mark, and think it is Transferware, but I couldn't find much info. Also, wasn't sure what the 472A mark meant? It is in gold paint. Many thanks for any help!

    That 472A is likely the manufacturer's ID number for the design - either shape or decor. Doesn't looks like transferware. More likely decal.

    My DeBolt's Dictionary shows this mark under D.E. McNichol, c. 1900-1910. I found more things with this mark, parts of wash sets, all different patterns, so I think Harvard was a shape name.

    Yup, I was just about to add this from Debolt's. They show the same globe with "Princess" also.
