Lovely, looks like a Persian silver mark for .84 grade silver

I agree, part of the mark is the Iranian mark for .840 silver.
It is an Iranian water ewer, and a real beauty.

Thank you for your help :) does this hallmark refer to a specific period?

My guess is 20th century. I can't read the rest of the mark, so I can't be more specific. Maybe @DragonflyWink can tell us more.:)

Due to the revolution in 1979 most pieces in the Western markets date before this. A lion head with sword was used as a silver mark from 67-79 so it is probably before this too. There can be date marks, but I don't have enough knowledge to read the mark here. The marks often include the city such as Isfahan اصفهان which is a city where a lot of Persian/Iranian silver was made.

That is a good observation and way to put it. The proportions are very pleasing. Almost a yin yang type symmetry.

No help from me, would also think 20th century, likely no later than mid-century - perhaps a Farsi reader might find more information...
