hand painted ? german ? porcelain mark

    hi, does anyone recognise this mark.

    knowing little about german porcelain, i bought this cause it looked hand painted, and i thought it was a meissen mark(i was wrong of course!!)

    do ya reckon it is hand painted ?

    Looks like a decal to me.

    Boucher is Franciose Boucher, a Rococo painter who lived a good 100 years before this.

    I found this similar composition , by Boucher, that is in the Hermitage museum:

    And this, which is much closer to yours but is after Boucher (couldn't find the original):

    Difficult to search that second image as it has apparently been co-opted as a portrait of characters from the Outlander TV series. (Your vase disproves that.)

    The second painting may be by a follower of Boucher. Since it is the reverse of the Hermitage image, it's possible that it was re-imagined from an engraving (speculation).

    Just in case you want to sell it, Boucher's first name was François.
    (Franciose was his rather grandiose sister, who loved to take the limelight:pompous:)
    You probably know decal by a different name, transfer.
