You might also want to consider white mineral oil, won't ever go rancid/smell and repels pests/bugs.

Ok, everyone agrees on some kind of oil?
Here are some more photos, but couldn't get much closer ones than previous ones, cause my camera won't zoom in.

Thanks. I am one of the forum members whose olive or rice bran oils never go rancid, but I have heard that it can do that. Maybe to do with temperature, or chemicals in the air? Or worse, junk added to the oil?:nailbiting: I only use pure virgin stuff.

Well aren't you the fancy one . I've always got mineral oil in as I use it for woodwork. I've never had a problem with olive oil either but have heard from others that it can go off. I'm guessing it may be more of an issue in hot & humid countries, no chance of that in England!

It's weird, isn't it. I've never had olive oil go off, even when we've had very hot summers.

    Hi,
I have heard before that in England olive oil never goes bad. Here in the USA it goes bad and I mean BAD after several months or weeks if opened. That is why I always use mineral oil either heavy or light. It NEVER goes bad.

those are fine pics.....i no longer see any ivory !!

strip the wire....clean the bangle and get a silversmith to re-wrap it with a thin gold wire.......... imo..
