Chinese/Japanese vases? Antiques?

Hey folks!

I've received amazing help from this forum, so I'll try my luck again. My mom got these two vases that look really old, but I am wondering if marks or the vases are familiar for some of you. Me and my mom would appreciate your help!

I’m sorry but I don’t think that either are very old at all. The first is trying to be Japanese Satsuma and the second may also be trying to be Satsuma but I suspect both are late 20thc. First may be Japanese second Chinese or maybe Macau

 

The top has a Satsuma mark, as John said, but I can't read it.

 

First one reads 'Yamada' under the Shimazu clan mark, less commonly also reads as Kumada, Ooshita and Yamagata - all are names. Likely the first one is correct here and as it is in kanji it is probably pre 1940, so inter-war. Second one is a modern Chinese vase made to look like Satsuma.
