I've had this for a while. got it real cheap because the string had been broken and tied. But i liked the pendant. I tried a scratch test but didn't do anything to it.
    Any thoughts at all welcomed.

Gut feel is moulded glass: I've bits and bobs bought in Hong Kong which look similar.

If you have a loupe another check you can do is looking for structure in the material. Jade has little fibrous inclusions running though it which you should see with a 10x loupe. Chalcedony / Chrysoprase or glass don't have this.

    Methinks they disclaim too much.........
Recently there was a post on one of the eBay boards of someone who had purchased some pretty gemstone cabochons from China. They arrived and were just painted glass!. Those clear ones you can buy from craft shops, and the paint just came off. Frauds are everywhere.

Peking glass is simply glass made in Peking.;)
The Peking/Beijing glassworks made different types of glass, but were best known in the West for mottled jade glass. That specific glass was copied by the Bohemians in the 1890s, and also called Peking glass.
