image.jpg Got this lovely painting on a vintage window. Is it just me, or are these becoming popular or have they always been?

That window is wonderful! I've never seen one painted before, up here they put mirrors in the panes - I like the painting much better!

Would have guessed the handbag with the compact was caramel Lucite - sweet piece, everything about it is unusual...

Johnny - the little jar is a cream/salve pot, the holes are just wear-through on the high points, fairly common on those ornate high-relief sterling pieces.

    Hi Joe,
In the 1960s those window frames were usually used as a photo collage. I had a neighbor who painted them similar to yours only bright and cartoonish. Like Shiloh I would have your's in a minute. I think it is wonderful.

This is my first painted window I've seen. I don't know if I want to sell this or not. I really like it myself.

Thank you. It just needs a light dusting. I like it how not one thing is over powering the other on this piece.

I was trying to figure out the bird on the windowpanes, I think it's some kind of shrike. Very sweet!

    brown shrike maybe?

image.jpg Almost done with my little project. This looks way nicer than it did when I first got it. The weather was perfect today to get this painted.

I found this this morning on the curb with a big "Free" sign on it. My wife and I snatched it up with no second thoughts. It's a computer cabinet. There is a drawer that slides out under the keyboard stand. Wish it was solid wood but unfortunately it isn't. It's in great condition though.

Looks like something a student would have in a small room.

Paid less than 1.5% of what comparables have sold for at auction. :D
