Does the note say it is a "Replica of a war ax?". Thinking this is a tourist piece maybe from a few decades ago? Not an expert, though. Wait for others.

You mentioned it was a replica in your title.
I would call it a Tomahawk, no reason you can`t sell it in the UK, look on ebay there are dozens.

thanks dave, ill look into into it, i think there quite fussy about certain types of bone though, ive had an ivory cane pulled recently, and i didnt even know it was ivory !!

I'd have to say this is a fantasy item, not a replica of any actual artifact, and not native-made.
I wouldn't worry about the type of bone; the animal often called buffalo is technically the American Bison; and it is not a protected species. This bone is unlikely to be that, and is likely some other non-protected species. (Most items listed on ebay as buffalo bone are from various Indonesian species, for example; what might be called water buffalo in the US, just as an example).

thanks for the info mate, good to know for sure

i forgot to add a pic of the front of the card which says

lone wolf trading co (native american)

its still pretty cool though !!

There seem to be several lone wolf trading co's, I can't find Native American owned for any of them.
As Steve said, there is no problem with the bones. I'm sure the fur is ok too.

I see, an Aussie company selling Native American style souvenirs. None of the items are NA made, many are made in the Philippines.
The say their "Traditional Peace Pipes" are handmade locally, which means made in Midland, Western Australia. The same probably goes for your axe. Northern Australia has a big (water)buffalo problem, so you have supported a good cause by buying it.;)
