Asian Green Stoneware Incense Burner

At least Asian inspired but can’t tell when ans where it was made. Any thoughts?

 

It looks like a very nice Victorian repro planter to me. Contents on the label, so perfect for a small bamboo plant.
It could have been made in Asia, in the Aesthetic style, which was often Oriental inspired. The age-old Oriental-Occidental pingpong.

 

The shape is based on Chinese bronze tripod vessels, later made in porcelain and other materials.
But of course it could have been just inspired by those pieces and made anywhere.

 

It was already clear that was the inspiration, but it is too deep to be a censer. But certainly inspired by Chinese censers.

 

Yeah, kind of deep and it was previously used as a planter.
Actually, not sure if the depth has something to do with being a censer or not. If not wrong, traditionally Chinese censers were filled with sand and then you stick the incense.
