Measures 3.5" high, 6.5" to 7" across. I've searched online and cannot find anything like it.

Try searching Japanese blue and white stencil transfer. Probably c1900 value? Under £100. If I were selling I would be happy with £25

If you bought it in the 70's it was probably pretty new at the time. Look at the arches going around the base, see how they don't line up which is a sign of sloppy factory work and the colouring is just a wide splash of blue over the detail. The details are probably stamped or stencilled on. As @John Brassey says the value is not going to be very much, you can find items like this in box lots in auction in the UK.

If you have some reference for this that would be great, as I see items like this turn up in box lots at auction for very little money still. If they are period I really want to be buying them, but I can't find any info which suggests age past Q3 20thC.

Here is a stencilled piece in the Victoria and Albert Museum. It is finer than yours but it is stencil decoration and the V&A dates it c1800-1900 Screenshot 2021-03-06 at 10.55.01.png

Yep, I don't think the quality really matches though so you can't really compare them.

When you handle more items of this type, you will be able to tell.
