Hello. I am asking for help in valuing a chain made of yellow and white gold. I know it comes from Switzerland.
    The length is 60.5cm weight: 16.3 grams DSCN6063.jpg DSCN5813.JPG DSCN5811 (1).JPG DSCN5814.JPG

Well, starting point would be scrap value, currently $510. Next step would be to look for others that are similar & seeing both what is being asked & what they have sold for. Anyone know what to call this elaborate, almost chain mail, link type?

Scrap plus 30% would be a possible retail value, to actually sell it, be prepared to come down a bit. Shop retail might be scrap plus 50% or even 100% but jewellery shops live in a world of their own.

I think it’s beautiful and hope it doesn’t get scrapped.

That's a rare modern factory piece I wouldn't melt either. There's a maker's name on there, but I have no idea who it is.

Meaning owned by someone there? Made there? Both? Mixing gold colors seems to be popular with Italian makers.

Anyone else see rose gold in the 2 end segments? Not their mark, but Milor does tricolor gold pieces.

Very cool chain! I wouldn't scrap it, you can find a buyer it will just take awhile because it's mixed.;) Another way to look at it, is it's unique because it's mixed! :D
