Casios can be good money; one of the first things I ever sold was my old Casio touchscreen. It went all the way to New Zealand.
@Tauriel - tell your son nice work on that banjo. It's a nice wall hanger as is, and with a little work it'll be back playing coffeehouses in no time. :)

Yes he did:woot: she's a beauty!, and I certainly have NO issues with 5% lol you can be sure I'll kick him a lil' something extra when she sells ;) It's just a good thing he didn't have a buck in his pocket!

I'd say it is worth putting a new battery in it. Things can become 'antique' frightfully fast nowadays.''

BTW, this refers to the watch, not the banjo. :)

A bad shot of part of today's haul. Coral beads, a Trifari pin, Scandinavian sterling, a jade Guan Yin (sp) and a shell and sterling pendant. Not a lot, but it didn't come cheap.

A real German nutcracker, Western Germany. Headed to my sister's collection. He's throwing pots.

Brad is a bad influence. Three pieces of white metal. The teapot is deeply modeled and looks a lot better than it ought to be. The plate has a tiger on it, and birds around the edge. The candy dish is Cincinatti plate and Art Nouveau. Paid under $10 for all three.

Here's some white metal as well. A piece of Aesthetic Movement white metal with a glass and white metal flaked insert...

Had not had time to go through this thread lately. Love the photos, elarnia! And that other photo... I think she's a woman, based on the clothing.

I get so behind on this thread, there are so many great things and it takes forever to catch up.

Here is a little something that I picked up. It's Swedish and missing a couple drawers but oh well. Even the old 30" cabinet has a label, Ideal Stockholm (and something else I can't make out). If anyone knows what you actually call these I'd appreciate knowing. It's really heavy so it's not getting listed and I may end up keeping it but would like to find drawers if I can. I just don't know what to call them LOL. I've seen someone calling it a spice rack but the large drawers are big so more like for flour, sugar etc

    Hi,
The pull out glass drawers were a main stay in hardware stores and grocery stores. They are sometimes called apothocary drawers also. This is the first time I have seen them in a cabinet from Sweden. They are usually in a pine and sometimes oak cabinet made here. I had my Gram's until in a move they were misplaced/stolen. The glass drawers can be found on ebay, at least they were sold there. I have not not looked for them for several years.

Ah I see that some similar drawers are from Hoosier cabinets. I tried looking again and I found some called drawer scoops. Not cheap though.

You have a serious typo in the title of your eBay auction.

That's a NICE purse, Adrian. Would you take $25 to get out from under it?(LOL) I've never seen one like that either; here's hoping a few bakelite junkies are still out there spending money.

FINALLY I found something ! I swear I was having such a dry spell, but today got this for a couple of bucks at a junk store. It was so tarnished it took forever to polish. Its 2 inches wide,1 1/2 high, and the lid has little holes,I assume for scent. Cant remember what that's called ! Pomander ? DSCN3055.JPG
