Mid century (?) wooden plaques

    Hi all. Picked up these 2 plaques thinking maybe mid century. They are 9x6,and the weirdness of course called me! They are also an inch thick. Any ideas are always appreciated.

    This painting came from the same house,so Im assuming the resident copied from the plaques.

    Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

    Hi johnny....the very first one, to me, what with all those ribs showing and the gaunt looking faces, looks like it might be addressing either 'hunger' or 'starvation'...... very interesting!! That's all I think I would venture to guess.....
